Schedule updates for Android 4.0 : Models and dates


In late 2011 Google introduced a new version of the Android 4.0 operating system Ice Cream Sandwich. Since then, thousands of users have been wondering when Android will be available this new software on your phone, because today we can assure you that we have the dates and arrangements for each company that will be updated with Android 4.0.

According to Hugo Barra, one of the top leaders of Android, commented that there is a minimum requirement for using this software, although it is likely that the devices at 500 MHz chip and 256 MB of RAM does not have this operating system, it should have a 1 GHz processor up.
As companies and their cellular models receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich are:
  • Sony Ericsson: Xperia line of 2011 will begin to be updated in March-April and will include Arc S models Xperia, Xperia and Xperia Neo V Ray. Then be the turn of Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, Xperia Mini and Mini Pro, Xperia Pro and Active and Live Sony Walkman Erisson.
  • Motorola: The company confirmed that it will update the RAZR and tablet Xoom, but gave no details about the date.
  • LG: Models Optimus 2X, Optimus LTE and Prada will begin updating between April and June, 3D Optimus, Optimus Black, Big, Q2 and former must wait until the third quarter.
  • HTC: Sensation, Sensation XL, XE Sensation, Rezound, EVO 3D Design EVO 4G and 4G Amaze receive the update in early 2012, no date yet confirmed.
  • Samsung: As I had advanced during the first months of the year, update the Galaxy and Galaxy S II Note, then will go to the full line of tablets with Android 3.x
  • The Honor Huawei will also be updated, in theory in the early months of 2012.
