HOW TO DOWNLOAD IOS 5.0.1 DIRECTLY TO YOUR IPHONE




So today Apple finally released an update to iOS 5, which supposedly and hopefully fixes the battery woes many of you are experienceing.  They’re also adding multitasking gestures for the original iPad; a resolve for a bug that caused issue with documents in the cloud; and improved SIRI dictation for Australian users.  At least that’s what they mention in the screen shot on the iPhone. Dig a little deeper on the SOURCE link below and you’ll see that there are a number of security updates that include closing a hole that allowed anyone to access some of the iPad 2′s contents regardless of whether or not the “user” had the device’s four digit passcode.


This update is available to all iOS devices with the exception of the iPhone 2G and 3G and is live now.  To download it directly on your device follow these steps:
1. Head to settings on your iPhone or iPad or iPod
2. Tap General followed by Software Update
3. Your device should check for an update and the above screenshot should appear
4. Provided your on WiFi you can click “download and install” where up on the update will automatically be added to your iOS device
